A little about us...
We are a family owned and operated completely plant-based (vegan) eatery serving up both healthy and comfort food options located in Williston Park, Long Island. Here's a quick back story on how we got here as a small eatery...
Dina travelled and volunteered in many eco-yoga villages in various countries learning about sustainability, vegetarian/vegan living, farming/gardening and came home questioning the standard American diet and the impact that eating a meat heavy diet has on our own personal well-being, the lives of animals and our planet. While spending a lot of time traveling and working on farms, Dina had to learn how to become creative with cooking up veggie meals.
Samuel (aka Sammy) and Dina met working in a restaurant together and Sammy was also interested in health & exercise but couldn't quite grasp how food was playing the bigger part in the equation not just the exercise. So after further educating ourselves we both hopped on board of the plant-based journey together.
We drove out to California camping and working on organic farms and continued brainstorming how we would open up our own place! We landed ourselves in the redwoods of northern Cali in an off-grid tiny house (trying to reduce our carbon footprint!) working in a vegan resort while also learning more about growing our own food as well.
So with this idea brewing for years but other things kept veering us off track, a baby and covid, we never stopped focusing on our goal. Eventually, the time felt right and we spent almost a year looking for a location until we stumbled across our current spot. We've invested everything we had into this and continue daily to put our all into it.
Our intention is to continue to grow, educate & share this lifestyle with others through our yummy food! <3
